It all begins with an idea, your idea. It takes a visionary to undertake a construction project, especially on your own home. Whether its a new house or a small addition, the visionaries see a way to alter or create the space needed, all in the hopes that it will somehow change the way they and their families live. Sometimes it’s a small addition or slight alteration that makes their living environment function better. Sometimes a new house is what is needed for a growing family where three bedrooms was fine for two adults and a kid. But then another child comes, and another, and suddenly life seems cramped. As children get older, their needs change. If you just had that one more bedroom or bathroom, the teenage fights would stop.

"We hired Sean Keith of Sean Keith Designs, LLC to design a major addition / renovation for our 1930s house in Wyoming, a suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio. The main part of the project was a 2-1/2 car garage addition with a new family room and outdoor living space above, complete with a trellis and outdoor fireplace. Adding this additional space allowed us to put the existing interior to better use. On the first floor, we turned our existing living room into a long dining room with a fireplace. We also reworked the floor plan for our entry to create better flow and converted our existing dining room into a new first floor office. We also remodeled the second and third floors of the house to create a five bedroom house where previously it was four bedrooms. We moved both our girls to the third floor with their own private bathroom, and the younger boys stayed on the second floor. Previously all four children had been housed in two rooms sharing one bathroom; now, they each have their own bedroom and share two baths. This has changed our life! Sean guided us through the design process with such thoughtful and insightful advice that we can truly say now that we would not have done it any differently. He supervised the entire process, overseeing everything including the preliminary design and bidding, a zoning variance, construction documents, final bidding and permits, as well as coming to the site and supervising and consulting with the builder.
